These SMS Messaging Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern text messages sent by Black Therapy Network (“BTN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to individuals who have affirmatively opted in to receive SMS communications.
By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in to the Black Therapy Network SMS program, you agree to these SMS Terms.

2. Program Description
The Black Therapy Network SMS Program provides communications to prospective clients, current clients, therapists, provider applicants, and participating providers who have voluntarily opted in to receive text messages.
Depending on your relationship with BTN, messages may include the following.
Client and Prospective Client Communications
- Responses to inquiries.
- Intake communications and follow-up.
- Appointment scheduling.
- Appointment confirmations and reminders.
- Cancellations or rescheduling notices.
- Service-related updates.
- Customer support.
- Other communications associated with BTN services you have requested.
Therapist and Provider Communications
- Therapist/provider application updates.
- Onboarding information.
- Credentialing communications.
- Profile or account updates.
- Referral information.
- Scheduling.
- Network participation information.
- Provider support.
3. Consent to Receive Messages
By checking the applicable SMS consent box, providing documented verbal consent, or otherwise completing an authorized BTN opt-in process, you authorize Black Therapy Network to send text messages to the mobile number you provided for the purposes described at the time of consent.
Your SMS consent applies only to the messaging program and purposes for which you opted in.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or receiving services from Black Therapy Network.
For therapists and providers, consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of applying to, joining, or participating in the Black Therapy Network.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with BTN, including inquiries, intake activity, scheduled appointments, support requests, application activity, referrals, and other requested services.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply.
Your wireless carrier’s standard messaging and data rates may apply to messages sent and received through the BTN SMS Program. Please contact your mobile carrier regarding your wireless plan.
6. How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to cancel and opt out of further SMS messages.
You may also use supported opt-out commands such as UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, or CANCEL where recognized by our messaging platform.
After you opt out, BTN may send a final message confirming that your unsubscribe request has been processed. You will then receive no further messages from the applicable SMS program unless you provide new consent.
Opting out of SMS communications does not prevent you from contacting BTN or receiving services through other available communication methods.

8. Privacy
Black Therapy Network respects the privacy of SMS subscribers.
Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent will not be sold, rented, shared, or provided to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and network provider and is not guaranteed by Black Therapy Network.
10. Supported Carriers
Participation in the BTN SMS Program requires a text-enabled mobile device and service from a participating wireless carrier. Availability may vary by carrier, device, and geographic location.
11. Mobile Number Changes
If you change, transfer, deactivate, or discontinue use of the mobile number you provided to BTN, please update your contact information with Black Therapy Network so that communications can be directed appropriately.
12. Appropriate Use of SMS
SMS is intended primarily for administrative, intake, scheduling, account, service, provider-network, and customer-support communications.
SMS may not be appropriate for detailed clinical discussions or highly sensitive information. BTN may direct you to an authorized secure communication method when appropriate.
Do not use SMS communications for emergencies. If immediate emergency assistance is required, contact appropriate emergency services.
13. Eligibility and Authority
By enrolling a mobile number in the BTN SMS Program, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number or otherwise have authority to provide consent for messages to be sent to that number.
Where communications concern services for a minor, the person providing consent must have appropriate authority when required by law or BTN policy.
14. Changes to These SMS Terms
Black Therapy Network may modify these SMS Terms to reflect changes in the messaging program, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, carrier requirements, or business practices.
